Founded by renowned bass player Dan Hall, the Two An' A Bass Trio originated in SW Missouri
in 2001. The original members came together while playing in the Lawrence Welk Orchestra at the Champange Theater in Branson, MO. The mixed instrumentation, flute, violin, and bass, affords the group the ability to convincingly play a wider variety of musical styles then a standard string trio or quartet. They easily perform material from the traditional classical repertoire while excelling at jazz and pop tunes. Many of the arrangements in their library are original and special song requests from a client can be accommodated.
Trio leader and founding member Dan Hall would be happy to discuss all of your musical needs with you. His years of experience as a professional bassist are reflected in his wonderful ability to negotiate a wide range of musical genres. In the course of his 4 decade career he has played with/for such notables as; Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck, Itzhal Perlman, Arthur Fiedler, Pavarotti, George Benson, John Denver, Rosemary Clooney, The 5th Dimension, Frankie Avalon, The Lawrence Welk Orchestra, Miss Patti Page, and Les Brown's Band of Renown. On the classical side he has performed with symphony orchestras in Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas and Virginia. The trio can tailor, pun intended, their appearance to suit/compliment any event. Tuxedo, suit and tie, all black, with or without jacket and tie or something more casual. Just let them know what you desire. |

While the full bands usually have both two lead players playing off one another, the quartet has one. As an add-on option, we can include a player who also sings, or a vocalist. Whatever you choose, we can provide you a high quality band at a good price that will allow you to enjoy great, live music for your party!

A Duo or Trio for Your Ceremony or Cocktails
Consider including us in your ceremony, pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, or planned segment prior to the party reception. We invite you to ask us about our duo and trio 
options. It does not matter whether it be for a wedding, a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, birthday party or anniversary. In fact, adding a live duo for the ceremony and a trio for the cocktails can add an incredible touch of warmth and elegance to your event.
Our combos play anything, including ethnic, Latin, Jazz, Swing, light Rock and more. Imagine a violin, clarinet or saxophone with bass serenading your guests as they enter your ceremony or enjoy cocktails. Nothing could be more fun or reflect your tasteful elegance better. And as an extension of the full band, assuming these moments directly precede the main party, we can offer you a very reasonable rate for this smaller group, as the players are already on location.
Keep in mind that as good as our trios are, nothing compares to the excitement, energy and versatility of the full size band. Your celebration will have just the right elements of both to keep your event exciting and memorable.
