WEC introduces Thunder & Lightning, the house band of Washington’s Entertainment Connection. This is a one-of-a-kind Rock & Roll, party and Pop band.
WEC is a family of managers, musicians, sound engineers, photographers, videographers and DJ’s, all working together to find great bands and match them with the needs of our clients. It is a family of artists in collaboration. Thunder & Lightning is a product of this collaboration. The band is a project. It is a show!
Thunder & Lightning features a very wide repertoire that extends beyond the Rock & Roll you hear most bands play. Their song list includes Pop, Classic Rock, Funk, a touch of Rap and even some Blues. T & L performs at public events, clubs, parties, weddings and corporate functions.

WEC manages several in house bands, including the Nexus Rock Band, Thunder & Lightning, The Jazz Connection, The Choper Jazz Project, The Kol Haruach Band and The New Klezmer Quintet (as shown above on this page). These bands specialize in a wide variety of music, from classic rock, blues, jazz and swing, to Klezmer and more. The New Klezmer Quintet
The New Klezmer Quintet is not about tradition….but about traditions! Their goal is to bring all influences together to create an entirely new and modern approach to what they write, from the melodies to the rhythms, and including the lyrics. They educate the audience on the music’s authenticity by including tidbits of music history and humor as they introduce each piece and interact with the audience. Throwing Jazz into the mix allows the audience to hear the similarities between European Klezmer and American Jazz and Rock, as they dance in the aisles!

The Choper Jazz Project
The personal project of Drummer Brian Choper, this band writes and performs all types of Jazz, and is one of the great Jazz bands of the area.

Founded by renowned bass player Dan Hall, the 2 and a Bass Trio offer creative mixed instrumentation that lets this group convincingly play a wider variety of musical styles then a standard string trio or quartet.
